The Clock Upon The Mantle
I sit on the lounge, staring
For there is a clock upon the mantle
It is a clock, but it keeps no real time
But it still keeps me in time
There are five parts to this clock on the mantle
And each is special to dismantle
There is the decoration, in all her imperial flair
You feel simply humbled to stare
Her outer shell is just purely, excitingly rare
Then there is the second had, keeping time, keeping rhyme
She constantly ticks, always making sure I move forward in time,
Not allowing me to fall behind
Then there is the dial in all her splendid style,
Her numbers are her tales that can span for many miles
